From the rice fields to a bottle of sake.

Sake is made in the brewery.
At least, that is where we tend to think it begins.

But its story starts much earlier.

With the land and water,
and the people who grow the rice.

Over the course of a year,
we follow the journey from field to sake.

Chapter One

Rice Planting

Rice seedlings are planted in the flooded fields.

These small seedlings will grow,
eventually bearing the grains of rice that become sake.

This is where a year of sake making begins.

Chapter 2

Seasons Across the Rice Fields

With the changing seasons, the rice continues to grow.

Guided by human hands,
the care of each day adds up.

Little by little,
the rice moves toward harvest.
